Lookbook: Summer Time

I got new shoes and new overalls this week and have been obsessed! The overalls and striped tee in this look are both thrifted, while the socks and shoes are from online. The shoes I have are mimics of the Jeffery Campbell shoe Scully. I picked these over the real shoes because I figured that the JC's would be to hard to walk in. Very satisfied with these!

Nova and Cher shoot: Sami

This weekend my friends and I took a trip down to LA. One of the highlights of the trip was this store, Pygmy Hippo. The store is made up of very cute novelty gifts and hand made goodies. Gigi and I went shopping a few days ago and fell in love with a few items. First is an American Apparel Babydoll dress. This dress is super cute, and most of all, comfy. I have been wanting one for at least a year now so I'm so happy that we finally have one in our wardrobe! Another item I have been dying for is Black Juju Jellies! They are currently at American Apparel for around $45! That's a very good price. I like the black heel ones because they are easy to walk in and go with any outfit. The tights and socks are from Urban outfitters. Both were in the sale section and both were $5! Such a good deal because the tights have a fuzzy warm inside. Lastly, the purse is from Nova and Cher. I love how it provides a pop of color into the outfit. Very cute!

Mini Post: I had a Long Night Outfit

        Yesterday my sister and I went to a thrift store and got a ton of new things. The trip was pretty successful. We washed them all, cleaned then up, and took off the tags. I wore some of the items today and make a 'I had a long night' look. Everything I am wearing is not from big business, and was pretty cheap! Low quality photos, and not much to say about it, I just was so impressed with how comfortable I was, while still lookin ok. :)

American Apparel Post

    American Apparel has been an obsession of mine since I ever found out about it about three-four years ago. Although it is expensive, I thrive in the secret sales, and spend when I save up birthday money. I like how the store consists of many basics, and then has a variety of very unique originals. All the clothes are very well made and extremely clean cut. I know that the owner of American Apparel has some bad rep, but to hold a grudge against the store hurts many people such as the employees, designers, sewers, and even fabric providers. The store mostly has positive support towards woman rights, gay rights, labor rights, and many other privileges commonly ignored. I recently got a gift card and have been on the site wayyyy to much. I hate window shopping, especially online, but with this store I must make the exception because I just can't help myself! For this post, I just though I would highlight some of my favorite clothes and outfits from American Apparel that I am dying to have!
